Abdomen massage is rejuvenating and relaxing.
Quite a lot of my clients when I suggest having their abdomen massaged as part of their massage are not very keen on the idea, women generally feel quite vulnerable exposing their abdomen, especially after childbirth.
When I have clients in as models for my holistic massage training, they are more open to the idea as helping the students practice, but they are really surprised how lovely it feels and enjoy it and then when they come back for their normal massage, they ask for the abdomen massage to be included. They actually feel comforted and relaxed with the massage movements on their abdomen.
When I teach holistic massage, I show my students the technique of Ampuku massage, which is part of the Shiatsu massage (Japanese stomach massage) to improve the holistic wellbeing of the client. It is a very pleasant calming massage to give and receive.
