Anxiety ! you are not alone.

We have all probably been affected at some point in our lives by anxiety.

Working out why we have got anxiety can sometimes be obvious but other times a bit of a mystery and we ask ourselves, is it my age, is it because I am going through the menopause? maybe life experiences, stress, trauma or even my personality?

Anxiety can also be triggered by environmental factors as in your job, personal relationships, medical conditions, traumatic past experiences, maybe genetics.

 We may have one or more symptoms or signs of anxiety.

Feeling restless and worried

Having trouble concentrating or sleeping.

Dizziness or heart palpitations.

Tiredness and fatigue.

Irritability.

Headaches.

Muscle aches.

Stomach aches or unexplained pain

Racing thoughts.

Difficulty breathing.

Tense muscles.

Trembling.

Rapid heartbeat.

 

To help ourselves overcome anxiety we can talk about how we feel to someone, a friend or a professional.

We can try calming breathing exercises.

Exercise is also great in helping overcome anxiety, such as running, walking, swimming, and yoga which I love.

Reiki or a relaxing therapy experience can soothe away the feelings of anxiety.

I found this really good method to take away anxiety symptoms, you put three fingers below your belly button and your other hand opposite behind your back and holding this position until you feel a pulse in your fingers and the symptoms go away.

 

When you talk to other people about your feelings of anxiety, you will realise you are certainly not alone.
